Organizers from the IATSE and Locals 491, 600 and 492 were successful in signing Nashville, TN-based, Picture Vision to the National Music Video Agreement, it was announced today by IATSE President, Thomas C. Short.
After a deadline for recognition of the Union by the Company expired on a Jimmy Buffet music video being shot on location in Folly Island, SC the crew walked off of the job to obtain recognition and to protest unfair labor practices by the Company.
A little more than an hour into the strike, the Company agreed to become signatory to the National Music Video Agreement, assuring benefits and fair working conditions for the employees on the immediate production as well as assuring the same protection for other employees on Picture Vision’s future music video productions.
