Toronto, ON – On October 6, 2004, the Ontario Labour Relations Board released a decision granting I.A.T.S.E. Local 828 bargaining rights for scenic artists and prop makers employed by The National Ballet of Canada.

The National Ballet of Canada, founded in 1951, is one of the world’s top international dance companies with over 50 dancers and its own full symphony orchestra. The company, which boasts both a classical repertoire and contemporary works, performs annual fall, winter and spring seasons and is still the only Canadian company to present a full range of traditional full-evening ballet classics.
