IATSE Cracks Black Walnut LLC – Welcoming 15 New Members into IATSE Local 645

IATSE Announces Agreement with NETworks

IATSE and IA Local 645 organized Black Walnut LLC, a scenery shop based in Garnerville, NY, it was announced by Thomas C. Short. The shop employs 15 full-time workers who will be joining Local 645, a mixed local, as journeyman. Crafts represented in Local 645 include stagehands, wardrobe, projectionists as well as make-up and hair.

The organizing efforts were successfully completed by Local 645 Business Agent Glenn Stroud and Secretary McBrien Dunbar, who had worked at the shop earlier in the year.

IA President Thomas C. Short said, “The IATSE welcomes these skilled and talented craftspeople into our Union. The addition of Black Walnut to the Rockland County local will enhance the IA’s ability to provide the most qualified workers to perform the necessary jobs.”
