Northern Stage Employees Seek to Bargain Collectively

Northern Stage

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VERMONT – On January 31, 2022, the stage employees at Northern Stage in White River Junction, Vermont petitioned the NLRB to seek recognition as a unionized collective bargaining unit, with the assistance of Local 919 of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists, and Allied Crafts of the United States, Its Territories, and Canada AFL/CIO.

IATSE Local 919 and Northern stage are both long-time pillars of the theatrical community in the Upper Valley. The members of IATSE Local 919 stand in solidarity with the theatrical stage employees at Northern Stage.

Local 919 is pleased to have begun the process of working collaboratively with Northern Stage to support their talented young crew as they grow and thrive as artists and community members. This is a significant step forward for the Stage Employees of Northern Stage in their struggle for livable wage, health care coverage, and retirement benefits.
