In Solidarity with CWA OFS Workers

Jewish Labor Committee Honors Loeb

A message from the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees:

The members of IATSE — the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts International Union — stand in solidarity with members of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) workers who are fighting for a fair contract at OFS, in Norcross, Ga., and Sturbridge, Mass.

For years, OFS workers made sacrifices in their contract negotiations with the company in order to help the company succeed during lean times. Now, OFS has become extremely profitable and is parent company Furukama Electric’s top performer, in the last year making nearly 23 times more than it did in 2014.

With OFS now reaping big benefits from their employees’ hard work, it’s time for management to bargain a fair contract that acknowledges both its workers’ past sacrifices, and their continued contributions to the company’s success.
