IATSE Statement on Orlando, FL Attack

DEI Collage Banner

In response to the June 12th attack in Orlando, Florida, the IATSE has released this statement:

We, as the IATSE, are standing in union with the loved ones of those who were senselessly killed. Although details are still emerging, the massacre in Orlando has shaken a community consistently under attack.

We stand with President Obama when he said that this was “an act of terror and an act of hate.” No person, regardless of identity, should be cut down by hate. We all, including LGBTQ individuals, deserve to feel safe in our communities, places of worship, workplaces, and homes.

In the face of such hate and terror, the IATSE extends love and sympathy to the families and friends of the victims in Orlando.
