LAS VEGAS, January 25th – The IATSE Political Action Committee raised nearly $14,000 at an event held at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel during the IATSE’s Mid-Winter General Executive Board Meeting. The reception was attended by officers and representatives of the Alliance as well as local union representatives and officers from all regions of the U.S. and Canada. The Board meeting is being hosted by Locals 600, 700, 720 and 800.
International President Matthew D. Loeb said, “The results of the 2010 mid-term elections were disappointing for labor and working families across the U.S.. We are now facing greater challenges and must remain involved in the political process and build up our PAC to be able to support real friends of working families as we head into the 2012 elections.”
