A fund raiser, hosted by IATSE Locals 477, 600, 631, 780, 835 and 843, raised more than $14,000 at an IATSE-PAC event, it was announced by IATSE President Thomas C. Short.

The event was held in conjunction with the regular Mid-Winter meeting of the General Executive Board held at the Hotel Royal Plaza in Lake Buena Vista, Florida last week. It was one fund raiser in a series of many that have been held in various cities throughout the country with future events being planned.

President Short stated that “this was yet another successful event for the IA’s Political Action Committee, increasing the amount of funds available to be directed at the appropriate time to assist legislative campaigns to return the US Congress to a Democratic majority which will benefit all IA members as well as the American labor movement as a whole.”

Included in the plans for future fund raisers is one to be held on Saturday, February 26, on the West Coast.
