IA President Short Appoints Safety Chairman

Workers at Lennie Marvin Enterprises, Inc., one of the premiere motion picture prop rental companies in Southern California, voted overwhelmingly for IATSE representation, it was announced by International President Thomas C. Short.  The NLRB election was held at the North Hollywood location on June 10, 2005 and will result in the contract, which covers 15 individuals, being administered by IATSE Local 44.

Lennie Marvin Enterprises, Inc. began as a family operated business when Marvin and his wife turned his passion for collecting into a viable prop rental business.  The business moved into Hollywood in 1977 and re-located to their current location in North Hollywood in 1992.

IATSE is continuing to organize all production-related businesses to assure that all the workers receive a fair wage, plus health and pension benefits,” International President Short stated.  “Lennie Marvin Enterprises, Inc. is a welcomed signatory ”
