The IATSE successfully organized Las Vegas-based JR Lighting, according to Thomas C. Short, International President. Employees covered under the agreement will become members of Las Vegas Local 720 of the IATSE.
The term agreement, set to run for three years, will expire July 1, 2006 and covers all work associated with the rental and maintenance of lighting and grip equipment at the facility.
JR Lighting is the largest provider of motion picture lighting and grip equipment in Nevada. The company has been in operation since 1992.
International Representative Dan Mahoney spearheaded the organizing efforts.
