IATSE Inks Pact With USA Reality Newcomer “Arrest and Trial”

IA President Short Appoints Safety Chairman

The IATSE has successfully organized “Arrest and Trial,” a new reality series for the USA Network, it was announced by the IATSE President, Thomas C. Short. Created and produced by Dick Wolf and hosted by Brian Dennehy, the program is being produced for USA First Run Productions.

The agreement runs three years and promises a 100% wage increase for many of the workers. In addition, the producers will make contributions to the health and pension plans.

Crime re-enactments, police interviews, witnesses, lawyers and host wraparounds are covered under the production agreement.

The agreement was reached after a strike by the Union, which shut down production on August 24.
