IATSE Successfully Organized Apollo Theatre Front-of-House employees

IATSE Announces Agreement with NETworks

On September 8, 2000, the IATSE won a major victory for all Front-of-House employees at the Apollo Theatre in New York City, it was announced by IATSE President Thomas C. Short.

The final vote was 37 to 0 in favor of union representation. The Front-of-House unit will consist of ushers, restroom attendants, maintenance employees, concession employees and box office employees.

The organizing drive was spearheaded by International Representative Ronnie Lynch, with the assistance of Local 306’s Business Manager Susan Martin and Secretary-Treasurer Joel Deitch, and Samantha Dulaney of the Spivak Firm.
