“Farmer Wants A Wife,” IA Gets A Crew

IA President Short Appoints Safety Chairman

The IATSE has successfully organized and reached an agreement with Little Pond Productions, Inc., covering over 70 crew members on the reality television production “Farmer Wants A Wife” currently in production in Portage des Sioux, Missouri. The series will air on the CW network in the 2007-2008 season.

The overwhelming majority of the crew backed the IATSE in the organizing effort which also included a job action as part of the successful campaign.

Details of the finalized agreement provide for benefits, rates and conditions consistent with the IATSE standards in the industry.

Spearheading the organizing efforts were IATSE International Vice President Jack Beckman, IA International Representative Dan Mahoney, IA Studio Mechanics Local 493 St. Louis Business Agent Gary Hansen, and International Cinematographers Guild Local 600 Representatives Barbara Jerome and Justin Conway.
