IATSE Local 683 members employed at Deluxe and Technicolor Film Labs ratified three-year pacts with their companies, it was announced by Thomas C. Short, International President. Over 900 individuals are covered under the contracts, which increased wages and benefit contributions as set forth under the IATSE Basic Agreement that was negotiated earlier this year. In addition, seniority provisions were maintained, Technicolor employees will be granted sick days for the first time ever and Deluxe employees have been given floating holidays.
“Although the employers extricated themselves from the multi-employer bargaining unit, the IATSE was still able to maintain the wage and benefit agreements negotiated under the Hollywood Basic Agreement,” stated President Short. “Our members showed their appreciation with a ratification vote.” Local 683 Business agent Daniel Quiroz, Jr. spearheaded the negotiating team along with representatives of the IATSE.
