SAINT-BRUNO-DE-MONTARVILLE, QC, June 27 – IATSE  Local 262 comes out on top again with a second certification in as many weeks for front-of-house employees.  This certification concerns employees at the 11-screen Cineplex St-Bruno.  The theatre, located on the South Shore of Montreal, is roughly 20 minutes from the city.

The local filed an application for certification with the Quebec Labour Relations Board on April 30.  On June 21, the Board released its decision in favour of Local 262.  The new bargaining unit is 30 members strong and is eager to begin negotiating with the cinema for a first collective agreement.
