Chris O’Donnell has been the Business Manager of IATSE Local 481, New England Studio Mechanics, since 2003 and a member of that Local since 1990, serving on the Executive Board and as a Trustee. Since 2004, he has participated in negotiations for the Area Standard Agreement and the Commercial Production Agreement and has provided job steward training to Studio Mechanic Locals throughout the U.S. Before becoming Business Manager of Local 481, Chris was a location sound technician for 15 years and worked on dozens of film, television, and commercial productions and was also an active member of IATSE Local 695. He has been a Special International Representative in the Motion Picture & Television department since 2022 and a union Trustee on the board of the IATSE National Benefit Funds since 2024.
