IA President Short Appoints Safety Chairman

The IATSE has reached an agreement with TE AMARE EN SOILENCO, INC. (T.A.E.S.) that will cover low budget episodic television that is produced in Los Angeles and viewed on Spanish Language Television.

The agreement was unanimously ratified by the Bargaining Unit and encompasses 40 people including all crafts historically represented by the IATSE. Contract terms provide for wage increases, better working conditions and retro-active benefit contributions. The new IATSE members successfully conducted a strike to achieve the agreement. The West Coast office and various business agents from West Coast Studio locals supported the brief strike.
