IATSE Secures Right To Represent employees At Blumenthal Performing Arts Center

IATSE Announces Agreement with NETworks

As the result of a representation election held today, the IATSE secured the right to represent the stagehands, wardrobe personnel, make-up and hair stylists at the North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, it was announced by IATSE President Thomas C. Short.

The final vote tally was nearly unanimous – 67 in favor of IATSE representation, one against. The Blumenthal also covers the Booth Theater, Belk Theater and Spirit Square Theatre. Negotiations for a new agreement will be under way shortly.

Organizing efforts were spearheaded by IATSE Representative Ron Lynch with the assistance of IATSE Local 322, Charlotte, North Carolina.
