HOLLYWOOD, FL – The IATSE Political Action Committee received over $12,800 in voluntary contributions at a fundraiser held January 12th at The Diplomat Resort during the IA’s Mid-Winter General Executive Board Meeting. It was also noted that eleven new monthly contributors signed up. The reception was attended by officers and representatives of the Alliance as well as local union representatives and officers from all regions of the US and Canada. The Board meeting was hosted by Locals 161, 477, 500, 600, 700, 706, 800, 798 and USA829.
Retired Assistant to the President Deborah Reid was honored at the reception for her years of dedication and service. She was presented with a crystal award on behalf of the International for her tireless commitment to the IATSE PAC since its inception.
Said International President Matthew D. Loeb, “Actively participating in the political process remains an important part of any union’s success.” President Loeb stated the IATSE looks forward to actively supporting labor friendly candidates in the upcoming elections in the United States.
