IATSE-PAC Raises Over $11,500

IATSE General Board Endorses Obama 2nd Term

Albuquerque , NM– The IATSE Political Action Committee raised over $11,500 last night at an event held at the Sheraton Uptown Hotel here. The hotel is the location of the IA’s Mid-Winter General Executive Board meeting.

New Mexico Lt. Gov. Diane Denish, who attended, expressed her appreciation for the invitation to the event and praised the IA’s awareness of the great employment opportunities brought to the state by the entertainment industry. New Mexico has one of the most successful incentive programs in the motion picture industry, and has been developing a large crew base along with the building of sound stages and other production facilities.

International President Matthew D. Loeb stated, “The IA is proud of the efforts of the New Mexico Locals to increase employment opportunities here.”

New Mexico Local 480 has also held training programs at several locations in the state to keep its members up to date on changing technology, and to give new members the background they need to work in film and television production.
