Minneapolis – By a margin of 33-12, employees of Fox Sports Net North in Minneapolis have voted in favor of representation by the IATSE. The bargaining unit consists of technical directors, audio technicians, video technicians, graphics operators, digital operators, digital recording device operators, camera operators, tape operators, utility technicians, stage managers, and font coordinators.
In Minneapolis, Fox Sports Net North telecasts the home games of the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA, and the American League’s Minnesota Twins baseball team, as well as other professional and college sporting events. A new IATSE broadcast local union will be chartered to represent the technicians.
