The IATSE Tradeshow Department, as co-bargaining agent with local unions, has successfully completed negotiations with the Freeman Company in Salt Lake City, UT and Springfield, MA.
Local 838, Salt Lake City, negotiated a five year contract with Freeman Decorating Services, which will serve as a template for several regional companies under a proposed Area Standard Agreement. IA Representative Brian Faulkner, Business Representative Nancy Trouse and President Bill Taylor collaborated on the negotiations.
Local 53, Springfield, negotiated a three year contract with Freeman. IA Representative Joanne Sanders and Business Representative Michael Afflitto negotiated on behalf of Local 53.
Each of the negotiations provided for increases in wages and benefits. In addition, Local 53 was successful in negotiating contributions to the IATSE Training Trust Fund.
