MONTREAL, QC – On March 19, 2015, the Quebec Labour Relations Board certified IATSE Local 56 as the bargaining agent for all theatre technicians employed by the Salle Pauline Julien. Located in the heart of Collège Gérald-Godin in Sainte-Geneviève, the Salle Pauline-Julien is the window to French culture on Montreal’s West Island.

Local 56 filed for certification of these employees on January 29, 2015, with a strong majority. The Labour Board issued its decision on March 19. The new IATSE Local 56 members are looking forward to the negotiation of their first collective agreement. The local is excited to bring these new members on board and is pleased to celebrate another organizing victory.
