IATSE International President Matthew Loeb extends his congratulations to the Directors Guild of America on their tentative new agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. Focus on diversifying the workforce, increase in wages, and – for the first time – set conditions for workers employed in new media productions, are highlights of a new three-year collective bargaining agreement between the DGA and the AMPTP.
The DGA National Board voted unanimously to approve and recommend the agreement after a three-week negotiation period.
President Loeb stated that “The IATSE applauds the leadership shown by both the DGA and AMPTP in their new agreement. Important current and future industry issues were dealt with, in what appears to be a mutual good-faith effort to keep the business on track.”
