California says “No” to Prop 32

IATSE General Board Endorses Obama 2nd Term

California voters made a clear expression of their support for unions yesterday when they defeated proposition 32, a ballot measure designed to severely curtail the influence of organized labor and the voice of workers.

“I want to thank IA Vice Presidents Thom Davis and Mike Miller, the leadership and membership of our California locals for their tireless efforts to defeat this blatant attack on workers,” stated IATSE President Matthew Loeb.
The Union continues to expand its profile on the political landscape and has been heavily involved in efforts throughout the US during this election season. “Wherever and whenever the interests of IATSE members are in jeopardy we will be there fighting,” said Loeb.
