After serving the Local 891 in the positions of Assistant Steward (12 years), Treasurer (6 years) and Senior Steward (5 years), now the President for IATSE 891. She represents 10,000 + members in BC and the Yukon, she never takes her role for granted and strives with profound honor and privilege to serve the members.
Her deep commitment, compassion and a steadfast dedication to the membership is notable. She envisions a union that we can all take pride in – one that reflects our collective ownership and commitment. Amanda’s decisions empowers members , ensuring their voices are heard and represented. Amanda is a strong advocate that every worker needs to return home safe at the end of the day, this has been entrenched in her life as she lost her grandfather in a workplace accident, she never had the opportunity to meet him. Amanda knows the importance of Mental Health and Addictions due to her lived experiences and strides to ensure people have the resources available to them before it is too late. She is committed to fostering an environment where member voices are prioritized and valued. Amanda continues to work together, on all levels, to build a stronger future for all if us.
