Melanie Barnett-Stubberfield is a 25-plus member of IATSE. She started her career at the Chicago Regal Theater but started working with Chicago Local 2 in 1995 as a stagehand. As a working IATSE member, she continued her education completing two master’s degrees. She holds a position as a co-chair of the Local 2 Social Justice Committee. Melanie has spearheaded and actively participated in Local 2 Social Justice initiatives. She is a new member of the International Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She is excited about the continual growth of the DEI committee.
