LOS ANGELES, CA — IATSE welcomed the settlement announced by California Attorney General Rob Bonta regarding the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery.

From the outset, IATSE has made clear that if this merger was going to move forward, it needed to include concrete, enforceable commitments that protect workers, preserve jobs, and support a healthy production ecosystem. With today’s agreement, those commitments are now a condition of the transaction.

The agreement follows the review conducted by Attorney General Bonta and fellow state attorneys general, who examined the merger’s impact on competition, workers, and the broader entertainment industry.

IATSE International President Matthew D.
