Silver Pictures Signs IA Pact

IA President Short Appoints Safety Chairman

Silver Pictures signed a term contract with the IATSE covering all productions produced under the company banner, it was announced by International President Thomas C. Short. The Los Angeles-based company is best known for production of feature films and will be employing IA members throughout the country, on a production-by-production basis.

Producer Joel Silver formed in Silver Pictures in 1980 and has produced films such as the Matrix series, Ghost Ship, both the Lethal Weapon and Die Hard series, Jumpin’ Jack Flash and 48 Hours.

International Representative Lyle Trachtenberg spearheaded the organizing efforts.

“We are looking forward to a productive working relationship between our members and Silver Productions,” Short stated.
