Although Black History month is coming to an end, the IATSE Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee wishes to continue acknowledging and highlighting the presence of our Black and Brown Sisters, Brothers, and Kin. We recognize that having a diverse membership and community adds to the strength of the IATSE. Black History Month is not a replacement for the vast history of the United States and Canada. It is an extension of our heritage designed to widen the cultural views that have made the United States and Canada the extraordinary countries they are. Embracing our diversity is what has made both countries stronger and as a reflection, IATSE continues to grow with a membership from all backgrounds and experiences. We would like to give a huge thanks to all the Locals and membership who participated in our #IATSEDiversity social media campaign, by reposting and sharing social media posts to honor and amplify the efforts and stories of our Black and Brown Sisters, Brothers, and Kin.
In Solidarity,
IATSE Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
