Organizers from Locals 481 and 600 recently signed to the national Commercial Production Agreement (CPA) two companies producing commercials for Gov. Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign.
Monument Films had been in Massachusetts and New Hampshire shooting spots for the Romney campaign. The company had failed to sign the successor Agreement, but did so before shooting this series of spots at the Romney home in early October.
Red October Productions, notable for producing spots for the 2004 Bush campaign, had signed under threat of strike; the 2004 CPA. They were in New Hampshire in October producing spots and content for the Romney website. While first declaring the shoot non-union, the Company agreed to produce the shoot under an IATSE agreement when faced with a work stoppage. Red October is signed on for all future production.
