NEW ORLEANS, LA — The IATSE Political Action Committee raised almost $12,000 at an event held at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel during the IA’s Mid-Winter General Executive Board Meeting.  The reception, hosted by Locals 478, 840, and 39, was attended by officers and representatives of the Alliance as well as local union reps and officers who traveled from all over the country to attend the Board meeting.

International President Thomas C. Short said, “Given the political climate in our country today it is imperative for union members to support candidates for federal offices who understand the needs of working families and are willing to support legislation to that end.  The IATSE-PAC is a way for individuals to help those candidates.”
