IATSE-PAC Event Raises Over $13,400 in the City of Denver

IATSE General Board Endorses Obama 2nd Term

A fund raiser, hosted by IATSE Locals 7, 230, 719 and B30, raised more than $13,400 at an IATSE-PAC event, it was announced by IATSE President Thomas C. Short.

The event was held in conjunction with the regular Mid-Winter meeting of the General Executive Board held at the Westin Tabor Center in Denver, Colorado the week of February 4. It was one fund raiser in a series of many that have been held in various cities throughout the country with future events being planned.

President Short stated that “this was yet another successful event for the IA’s Political Action Committee, increasing the amount of funds available to be directed at the appropriate time to assist legislative campaigns.”

Included in the plans for the future is a reception for Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich, running for re-election for Ohio’s 10th Congressional District, to be held on Monday, February 25, 2002 at the officers of Local No. 80 in Burbank, California. Congressman Kucinich has been a good friend of labor and is also a member of IATSE Local No. 600.
