Los Angeles – On Friday, Dec. 14, the results of an NLRB representation election were announced, the result of which was that employees of Westside Production Services,  a lighting and grip equipment vendor headquartered in Culver City, have voted unanimously to be represented by the IATSE.   Westside Production Services is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures, but acts independently of the parent company.

There are 19 employees in the unit who will soon become members of IATSE.  Motion Picture Studio Grips Local 80 and Motion Picture Studio Electricians Local 728 worked in concert with representatives of the IATSE West Coast Office to make this organizing effort a success.
