Following two separate decisions of the BC Labour Relations Board, Local 118 has successfully expanded the scope of its bargaining unit for Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS), a company that produces musical summer theatre at Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park, Vancouver. TUTS was founded in 1940 and has established itself as a summer tradition for locals and tourists alike.

Local 118 filed two separate applications for certification to expand its original bargaining unit to include audio, construction and paint departments. The applications were filed on June 22 and on June 28. The nine ballots cast were unanimously in favour of union representation, and on July 4 and 28, 2011, the BC Labour Relations Board issued issued separate decisions granting recognition to the local for the expanded bargaining units.
