IATSE Congratulates Writers Guild on Tentative Agreement with Studios

LOS ANGELES, CA — The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) congratulates the Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) and the Writers Guild of America East (WGAE) on their tentative agreement with the studios. Since day one of this 146-day strike, we’ve said that a good deal for the writers is good for us and everyone working in entertainment. With the announcement of a tentative deal, we commend the Writers Guild negotiating committee on reaching a deal they could bring to their membership.

We reaffirm our stalwart support for the actors in their continuing battle for a contract that addresses their unique issues, and we renew our calls on the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) to immediately return to the table to negotiate a fair agreement with SAG-AFTRA in good faith.
