Highland Arts Theatre

Sydney, NS – The IATSE is on a roll! Major congrats to IATSE Local 680 and the workers at the Highland Arts Theatre on winning two certifications in the same week!

On November 17th, the Local won a certification for the Production bargaining unit as well as a certification for the Box Office and Bar Staff employees.

The Highland Arts Theatre, also known as the HAT, is an important arts and culture hub in Sydney, Nova Scotia, operating out of the stunning and historic St. Andrew’s United Church. The church was decommissioned in 2013 and found a new life when the Highland Arts Theatre was founded in 2014 providing a beautiful space for the vibrant and talented people of the Cape Breton region of Nova Scotia to perform for the community.

IATSE Local 680 is delighted to see the IATSE family grow with the addition of the fantastic team of the Highland Arts Theatre!
