“Drop Dead Sexy” Signs IA Pact

IA President Short Appoints Safety Chairman

“Drop Dead Sexy” signed a contract with the IATSE covering the low budget film currently being shot in Austin, TX, it was announced by International President Thomas C. Short. Produced by Drop Dead Sexy, LP at a budget of $1.5 million, the film falls under the IATSE Low Budget Agreement.

International Representative Jamie Fry spearheaded the organizing efforts along with Ken Rector of IATSE Local 484 and John Hilsman of IATSE Local 600.

Terms of the deal that followed a two-day strike, include health and pension benefits that are retroactive to the first day of principal photography and a $100 one-time bonus for returning employees. Approximately 38 workers are covered under the agreement.
