Brian J. Lawlor Appointed as Co-Director of Stage Craft

IATSE Announces Agreement with NETworks

Brian J. Lawlor, who has served as an International Representative of the IATSE for a number of years, has been appointed as Co-Division Director of Stage Craft effective October 1, 2002, it was announced by International President Thomas C. Short.

Lawlor was a field rep based in Orlando, Florida, and relocated to New York in January 2002 to continue his work out of the IATSE’s headquarters. He has been working very closely with Stage Craft Director Michael J. Sullivan who also serves as an International Vice President of the I.A.

President Short stated that “As Co-Director of Stage Craft, Brian will continue to work alongside Vice President Sullivan and enable the International to provide additional focus and attention to the many aspects of the craft that started this Alliance.”

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees or IATSE (full name: International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, Its Territories and Canada), is a labor union representing over 170,000 technicians, artisans and craftspersons in the entertainment industry, including live events, motion picture and television production, broadcast, and trade shows in the United States and Canada.
