Patricia White is the IATSE Director of Education and Training. She has been an IATSE member since 1986 when she joined ACT as a wardrobe employee. She transferred into Theatrical Wardrobe Union Local 764 on April 24, 1989, and has served as a trustee and officer since 1995, including as the Local’s President for 25 years. Pat is currently the President Emerita of Local 764, which represents the wardrobe workers on the motion picture and television productions, Broadway shows, operas, ballets, and every type of entertainment in the New York City area, as well as the Broadway Child Actor Guardians. She is proud to be a wardrobe worker and worked for many years as a dresser on Broadway and also in the wardrobe departments of television soap operas.

On April 30, 2013, the IATSE International General Executive Board unanimously elected Pat to the position of International Trustee. She also serves as a Trustee to the IATSE National Benefit Plans and the IATSE Training Trust Fund and is a member of the Behind the Scenes Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Initiative Steering Committees. She is a member of the Executive Council of the New York City Central Labor Council. Pat serves as a Class C Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

As Department Director of Education and Training Pat works closely with President Loeb and the IATSE General Executive Board to promote the education of IATSE local leaders through the IATSE Officer Institute, LEAP Program, union skills education at conventions, and IATSE staff training. Equally dedicated to craft training for members, Pat serves as a member of the ETCP Certification Council. She also works actively in the area of outreach to students, building solidarity with the IATSE workforce of the future, and has been one of the architects of workforce development programs including the with Roundabout Theatre and other employers across the entertainment industry.
