Jennifer Halpern has worked as a Local USA 829 costume designer and design assistant on Broadway and Off-Broadway, in opera houses, and on film and television productions, as well as large scale live events. 

She joined the IATSE Education and Training Department in 2015. It was here that Jennifer’s passion for the labor movement and the power and potential of workers joining together in union was ignited. Since then, Jennifer has been working closely with IATSE Executive Staff and local union leaders toward the broad shared goal of creating and sustaining a culture of continuous education throughout the IATSE, and in each of its locals. 

She holds a Master of Arts in Labor Studies from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Labor and Urban Studies.
