Proscia est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e2ge de 87 ans le dimanche 21 f\u00e9vrier 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Le confr\u00e8re Proscia \u00e9tait membre de l'International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) depuis 1957 et \u00e9tait membre des sections locales 1, 52 et 477 de l'IATSE. Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sident et agent d'affaires de la section locale 52 pendant plusieurs ann\u00e9es, le confr\u00e8re Proscia a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lu vice-pr\u00e9sident international en 1980.<\/p>\n<p>Le confr\u00e8re Proscia a servi l'IATSE en tant que secr\u00e9taire-tr\u00e9sorier g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de 1994 \u00e0 2002. Il a annonc\u00e9 son d\u00e9part \u00e0 la retraite apr\u00e8s 22 ans en tant que dirigeant international, apr\u00e8s avoir occup\u00e9 pendant huit ans le poste de secr\u00e9taire-tr\u00e9sorier g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et pendant 14 ans celui de vice-pr\u00e9sident international.<\/p>\n<p>Tout au long de sa carri\u00e8re, le fr\u00e8re Proscia a particip\u00e9 activement \u00e0 de nombreuses associations, notamment en tant que vice-pr\u00e9sident ex\u00e9cutif de la Conference of Motion Picture and Television Unions de New York, en tant que membre actif du Press Club et de la Radio and Television Working Press Association, et en tant que commissaire au cin\u00e9ma pour l'\u00c9tat du New Jersey. Il \u00e9tait un fier membre des Chevaliers de Colomb, ainsi que de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de Sainte-Marie de Costantinopoli. Proscia, membre fondateur de la section locale 477 de l'IATSE, s'est vu remettre, par les membres de la section, un prix en verre taill\u00e9 pour comm\u00e9morer la cr\u00e9ation de la bourse d'\u00e9tudes Michael W. Proscia\/IATSE Local 477.
