Hyatt a pris l'initiative dans ses tentatives d'affaiblir les normes syndicales \u00e0 travers les Etats-Unis et le Canada.  Hyatt a \u00e9galement refus\u00e9 de permettre aux travailleurs non syndiqu\u00e9s de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d'un processus \u00e9quitable pour se syndiquer.  Le 31 ao\u00fbt 2009, Hyatt a licenci\u00e9 l'ensemble de son personnel de m\u00e9nage non syndiqu\u00e9 dans 3 h\u00f4tels de la r\u00e9gion de Boston et l'a remplac\u00e9 par des travailleurs sous-trait\u00e9s au salaire minimum.<\/p>\n<p>Au d\u00e9but de l'ann\u00e9e, des travailleurs de 15 villes ont organis\u00e9 des manifestations devant des h\u00f4tels Hyatt, de Boston \u00e0 Honolulu, de Miami \u00e0 Vancouver.
