Ce vote de reconnaissance fait suite aux victoires des com\u00e9dies musicales off-Broadway \"Titanique\" et \"Little Shop of Horrors\", ainsi que des th\u00e9\u00e2tres Vineyard et Atlantic, o\u00f9 les travailleurs ont \u00e9galement vot\u00e9 \u00e0 une \u00e9crasante majorit\u00e9 en faveur de la repr\u00e9sentation de l'IATSE.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Le groupe, qui comprend tous les employ\u00e9s de production \u00e0 temps plein, \u00e0 temps partiel et sur appel, a vot\u00e9 \u00e0 une large majorit\u00e9 en faveur de la syndicalisation. Les r\u00e9sultats officiels de l'\u00e9lection ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 un nombre impressionnant de 178 votes \"oui\" et seulement 11 votes \"non\". The Public est l'un des th\u00e9\u00e2tres \u00e0 but non lucratif les plus importants de New York. Il op\u00e8re toute l'ann\u00e9e \u00e0 Astor Place, en plus du Delacorte Theater de Central Park, qui accueille les c\u00e9l\u00e8bres productions \"Shakespeare in the Park\". La compagnie a cr\u00e9\u00e9 de nombreuses productions remarquables et prim\u00e9es, notamment \"Hair\", \"A Chorus Line\", \"Hamilton\", \"Suffs\" et \"Hell's Kitchen\".<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Le syndicat du Public s'inscrit dans un mouvement de transformation de l'off-Broadway, stimul\u00e9 par la solidarit\u00e9 collective et la reconnaissance de la syndicalisation comme moyen de donner une voix aux travailleurs du th\u00e9\u00e2tre. \"Les syndicats sont simplement des travailleurs qui s'unissent pour s'entraider et se prot\u00e9ger\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Michael Barnes, premier vice-pr\u00e9sident international de l'IATSE. \"L'IATSE est aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de tous les travailleurs du spectacle et applaudit le Public Theater pour son engagement en faveur d'un processus de vote juste et \u00e9quitable. La d\u00e9mocratie est la pierre angulaire de nos institutions\".<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\"Je suis tr\u00e8s heureux que mes coll\u00e8gues de la production et moi-m\u00eame puissions avoir notre mot \u00e0 dire sur la nature de nos emplois\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Milo Robinson, accessoiriste. \"Nous esp\u00e9rons que les n\u00e9gociations aboutiront \u00e0 des avantages dont nous avons tous besoin, notamment un salaire d\u00e9cent et l'acc\u00e8s aux soins de sant\u00e9.
