NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE \/ TORONTO, ON - Des groupes d'employ\u00e9s de deux sites diff\u00e9rents ont vot\u00e9 pour la repr\u00e9sentation de l'IATSE dans la m\u00eame semaine. Depuis le 8 mars, les artistes sc\u00e9niques du Young People's Theatre de Toronto et les accessoiristes du Shaw Festival de Niagara-on-the-Lake sont d\u00e9sormais repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par la section locale 828 de l'IATSE.<\/p>\n

Le Shaw Festival est le deuxi\u00e8me plus grand th\u00e9\u00e2tre de r\u00e9pertoire en Am\u00e9rique du Nord et comprend quatre salles distinctes : le Festival Theatre de 856 places, le Courthouse Theatre de 327 places, le Royal George Theatre de 313 places et le Jackie Maxwell Studio de 200 places. Le 22 f\u00e9vrier, la section locale 828 a d\u00e9pos\u00e9 une demande d'accr\u00e9ditation pour les accessoiristes, o\u00f9 la section locale repr\u00e9sente d\u00e9j\u00e0 les artistes sc\u00e9niques. Le personnel d'accueil du Shaw Festival, les employ\u00e9s de la garde-robe et les machinistes sont repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par la section locale 461 de l'IATSE. La Commission du travail a accord\u00e9 un d\u00e9lai pour le vote jusqu'au 8 mars. Les bulletins de vote sont revenus en faveur de la repr\u00e9sentation syndicale par la section locale 828.<\/p>\n

Au Young People's Theatre, qui dispose d'une sc\u00e8ne principale de 460 places et d'un studio blackbox de 115 places, la section locale 828 a d\u00e9pos\u00e9 une demande de certification des artistes sc\u00e9niques aupr\u00e8s de la Commission des relations de travail de l'Ontario en janvier. Le vote a eu lieu le 6 f\u00e9vrier et l'urne a \u00e9t\u00e9 scell\u00e9e jusqu'au 6 mars, date \u00e0 laquelle le vote a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 un soutien unanime \u00e0 la repr\u00e9sentation par la section locale 828 de l'IATSE. Les machinistes du site sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par la section 58 de l'IATSE.<\/p>\n

Les groupes des deux sites travaillent avec les membres de l'IATSE depuis des ann\u00e9es et sont impatients de travailler aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de leurs coll\u00e8gues dans le cadre de leur premi\u00e8re convention collective.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
