TORONTO, ON - La ville de Toronto, sous le nom de Civic Theatres Board, est maintenant propri\u00e9taire et exploitante du Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, du St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts et du Toronto Centre for the Arts. Les travailleurs de premi\u00e8re ligne de chaque \u00e9tablissement \u00e9taient auparavant repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par l'IATSE ou le SCFP, voire pas du tout. Avec une seule entit\u00e9 pour les trois salles, le Civic Theatres Board a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 une demande \u00e0 la Commission des relations de travail de l'Ontario afin d'\u00eatre d\u00e9clar\u00e9 employeur unique pour les trois salles. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette demande, tous les travailleurs d'avant-sc\u00e8ne ont eu l'occasion de voter le 17 novembre.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Avant le vote, l'IATSE repr\u00e9sentait les pr\u00e9pos\u00e9s \u00e0 l'accueil au Sony Centre et le SCFP repr\u00e9sentait les pr\u00e9pos\u00e9s \u00e0 l'accueil au St. Lawrence Centre, tandis que le Toronto Centre for the Arts \u00e9tait un lieu non syndiqu\u00e9. Les syndicats, l'employeur et la Commission des relations de travail ont convenu que le scrutin comporterait trois options : IATSE B-173, SCFP ou aucun syndicat. Les employ\u00e9s d'accueil devaient voter dans le cadre d'un scrutin gagnant pour les trois \u00e9tablissements.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Avec un r\u00e9sultat de 90 pour l'IATSE, 17 pour le CUPE et 4 pour No Union, les travailleurs de cette unit\u00e9 de n\u00e9gociation de 265 personnes nouvellement fusionn\u00e9e se sont exprim\u00e9s clairement. La section B-173 est absolument ravie que les 140 membres qu'elle repr\u00e9sentait d\u00e9j\u00e0 chez Sony aient vot\u00e9 pour continuer \u00e0 faire partie de la famille IATSE, et qu'ils soient rejoints par 125 nouveaux fr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs du Centre Saint-Laurent et de la TCA. Les nouveaux membres de l'IATSE sont enthousiastes \u00e0 l'id\u00e9e de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d'une repr\u00e9sentation solide de l'IATSE alors qu'ils commencent \u00e0 combler le foss\u00e9 qui les s\u00e9pare des meilleurs taux et conditions de travail dont b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient d\u00e9j\u00e0 leurs coll\u00e8gues du Sony Centre.\u00a0<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
