Short, et Henri Mass\u00e9, pr\u00e9sident de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des travailleurs et travailleuses du Qu\u00e9bec (FTQ), ont rencontr\u00e9 des membres des sections locales 514 et 667 de l'IATSE sur le plateau de tournage de \" Whiteout \", l'un des six longs m\u00e9trages dont la production est pr\u00e9vue cette ann\u00e9e \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al sous la juridiction de l'IATSE.<\/p>\n<p>Henri Mass\u00e9 a saisi l'occasion pour exprimer publiquement son soutien aux efforts de syndicalisation des sections locales 514 et 667 de l'IATSE \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al.  \"L'IATSE a une longue et fi\u00e8re histoire de repr\u00e9sentation des employ\u00e9s travaillant dans l'industrie du divertissement au Qu\u00e9bec depuis 1898.  Il doit y avoir un seul syndicat pour repr\u00e9senter les int\u00e9r\u00eats des travailleurs du cin\u00e9ma au Qu\u00e9bec et ce syndicat est l'IATSE.\"<\/p>\n<p>M. Mass\u00e9 ajoute : \"Ces locaux sont engag\u00e9s et nous devons en grande partie \u00e0 leur d\u00e9termination le fait que Montr\u00e9al dispose \u00e0 nouveau des conditions favorables pour attirer d'importantes productions am\u00e9ricaines qui mena\u00e7aient d'aller tourner ailleurs.\"<\/p>\n<p>Le pr\u00e9sident Short a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \"Les travailleurs du cin\u00e9ma au Qu\u00e9bec ont demand\u00e9 \u00e0 l'IATSE de les repr\u00e9senter.  Nous avons l'intention de le faire.  J'appr\u00e9cie le soutien de la FTQ.
