Le projet de loi C-10 pr\u00e9voyait des modifications \u00e0 la Loi de l'imp\u00f4t sur le revenu qui auraient permis au ministre f\u00e9d\u00e9ral du Patrimoine de refuser des cr\u00e9dits d'imp\u00f4t \u00e0 tout projet cin\u00e9matographique ou t\u00e9l\u00e9visuel canadien jug\u00e9 offensant par le minist\u00e8re. Le syst\u00e8me actuel exclut d\u00e9j\u00e0 l'octroi de cr\u00e9dits d'imp\u00f4t pour la pornographie. Le projet de loi propos\u00e9 serait all\u00e9 encore plus loin en excluant tout ce qui est jug\u00e9 offensant ou non conforme \u00e0 l'int\u00e9r\u00eat public.<\/p>\n<p>Le 16 avril, John Lewis, vice-pr\u00e9sident de l'IATSE et directeur des affaires canadiennes, a comparu devant le Comit\u00e9 s\u00e9natorial permanent des banques et du commerce pour t\u00e9moigner au nom de l'IATSE, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de repr\u00e9sentants d'un certain nombre d'organisations syndicales et d'intervenants du secteur.<\/p>\n<p>Le vice-pr\u00e9sident Lewis a t\u00e9moign\u00e9 de l'effet d\u00e9vastateur que le projet de loi C-10 aurait sur le gagne-pain des hommes et des femmes travaillant dans l'industrie du cin\u00e9ma et de la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision, si le projet de loi C-10 \u00e9tait mis en \u0153uvre. Comme le projet de loi n'aurait d\u00e9termin\u00e9 l'admissibilit\u00e9 aux cr\u00e9dits d'imp\u00f4t qu'apr\u00e8s l'ach\u00e8vement d'une production, M.
