Le jeudi 18 juin, l'Assembl\u00e9e nationale du Qu\u00e9bec a adopt\u00e9 le projet de loi 32, qui modifie la Loi sur le statut de l'artiste du Qu\u00e9bec ainsi que d'autres lois connexes. Suite \u00e0 l'adoption de cette loi, l'IATSE est d\u00e9sormais officiellement reconnue comme agent n\u00e9gociateur accr\u00e9dit\u00e9 repr\u00e9sentant les travailleurs de l'industrie du cin\u00e9ma et de la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision au Qu\u00e9bec. En clarifiant les comp\u00e9tences respectives de l'IATSE et de l'AQTIS, la loi permettra la paix dans l'industrie du cin\u00e9ma et de la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision au Qu\u00e9bec, ce qui enverra un message de stabilit\u00e9 aux producteurs.<\/p>\n

Le pr\u00e9sident international, Matthew D. Loeb, a fait le commentaire suivant : \"Je tiens \u00e0 f\u00e9liciter tous ceux qui ont travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 l'adoption du projet de loi 32. La reconnaissance de l'IATSE au Qu\u00e9bec est vraiment une r\u00e9alisation remarquable. Au nom de l'IATSE, je tiens \u00e0 remercier la ministre Christine St-Pierre, Gilles Charland qui a agi comme m\u00e9diateur tout au long du processus et Michel Arsenault, le pr\u00e9sident de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des travailleurs du Qu\u00e9bec pour son soutien ind\u00e9fectible.
