Le pr\u00e9sident de l'IATSE, Thomas C. Short, a annonc\u00e9 la nomination de Kent Jorgensen au poste de pr\u00e9sident du comit\u00e9 de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l'IATSE. Cette nomination, qui prend effet imm\u00e9diatement, a \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9e lors de la r\u00e9union du bureau ex\u00e9cutif g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'IA \u00e0 la Nouvelle-Orl\u00e9ans. Elle donne \u00e0 Jorgensen la responsabilit\u00e9 de superviser le respect de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sur tous les projets o\u00f9 les membres de l'AI travaillent aux \u00c9tats-Unis et au Canada. M. Jorgensen remplace Tim Wade, qui a pris sa retraite de l'AI et de la section 600 \u00e0 la fin de d\u00e9cembre 2006.<\/p>\n

M. Jorgensen, qui est membre de la section locale 80 Grips depuis 1990, est le repr\u00e9sentant de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de la formation pour ce groupe depuis 1996.
